About

The Story Behind Lost Lake Healing

Lost Lake Healing was inspired by a place that profoundly shaped my life. As a child, I spent my summers with my grandparents, helping on the horse ranch on Lost Lake Road. Those summers gave me something I deeply needed—a sense of safety, belonging, and stability. Surrounded by the quiet rhythms of nature, caring relationships, and the healing presence of horses, I experienced firsthand how a nurturing environment can foster resilience and growth. The name Lost Lake Healing honors those memories and the belief that everyone deserves a place where they feel safe enough to heal. Today, I strive to create that same sense of safety and connection for the children, adolescents, and families I serve. I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) specializing in therapy for children and teens ages 3 to 18. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment that helps children and adolescents process traumatic experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and regain a sense of confidence and security. My approach is compassionate, developmentally appropriate, and tailored to each child's unique strengths and needs. I believe that healing happens within trusting relationships. Whether a child is experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, grief, or difficult life transitions, I work alongside families to create a supportive environment where children feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. At Lost Lake Healing, therapy is more than addressing symptoms—it's about helping children and families build resilience, strengthen connections, and discover hope for the future. It is a privilege to walk beside young people and their caregivers as they navigate challenges and uncover the strength that has been within them all along.
